Pet-Friendly Features

Staying at Emrick Lake means your pet can join you when you’re out and about on the grounds as long as they’re leashed. You and your furry friend will also enjoy our:

  • Hiking trails – Our trails stretch throughout the campsite and are perfect for scenic strolls with your pet
  • Two dog parks – We offer both a small dog park and a large dog park so dogs of any size can play, burn off energy, and have a great time

Pets on Parade

Every year, Emrick Lake Campground and Resort hosts many themed weekends from April through October, including events like Christmas in July, the Cinco de Derby Race, the Father’s Day car show, Oktoberfest, and more!

One of our most popular weekends is when we host our Pets on Parade event, which was held in 2026 from June 5 through June 7. To show you just how seriously we take having a good time around here, we’ve put together this breakdown of all the great activities pets and their owners enjoyed!

Friday, June 5

  • Kids Club crafts
  • Dog bone scavenger hunt
  • DJ and karaoke night

Saturday, June 6

  • Dog fun run/walk
  • Pet contests for “best dressed,” “best trick,” and “pet and owner look-alike”
  • Train rides for the kids
  • Candy bar Bingo
  • Boozy Bingo
  • Gel Blasters and jumping pillow events
  • Pet golf cart parade

Since Saturday was the main event, we also had our full Pet Festival, featuring paw prints and dog painting, a craft corner for making cat and dog toys, the dog agility course, the doggie splash pad, delectable treats from Willow and Eyja’s Barkery, and a pet photo booth!

Sunday, June 7

  • Kids Club DIY dog and cat treats
  • Foam party in the swimming pond

In honor of the weekend, our High Pointe Camp Store also whipped up some special themed treats for all the pet moms and dads, like the Golden Retriever Latte, the Scooby Dooby Doo Sundae, and the Fetchin’ Fun Sundae. Meanwhile, our Twisted Pine Bar & Grill put together a Puckery Puppy drink of lime vodka and lemonade, something that really hit the spot in the summer heat.

All in all, the weekend was a smashing success, and our guests and their pets loved taking part in all the activities. We even had two young entrepreneurs who sold homemade doggy treats and generously donated their proceeds to animal shelters. We were so happy to see the kindness and community spirit they spread!

We can’t wait for next year and we’ll be cooking up some cool new activities and events, so be sure to keep an eye on our calendar and our social media posts!
